{"id":394,"date":"2017-02-03T13:27:24","date_gmt":"2017-02-03T18:27:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csatech.apps-1and1.com\/?p=394"},"modified":"2017-02-03T13:40:37","modified_gmt":"2017-02-03T18:40:37","slug":"stop-windows-10-rebooting-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csanow.com\/index.php\/2017\/02\/03\/stop-windows-10-rebooting-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Stop Windows 10 From Rebooting After an Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I get very frustrated when I&#8217;m in the middle of working on something with my computer and a message appears telling me that my computer will be rebooting in 2 minutes (or some other time frame), but there is no option to cancel that from happening.<\/p>\n<p>However, since the Anniversary Update to Windows came out, it is possible to set the computer to recognize &#8220;Active Hours&#8221; which should limit those times, it&#8217;s not flawless (nothing ever is).<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-395\" src=\"http:\/\/csatech.apps-1and1.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/UpdateOrchestra-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"406\" height=\"304\" srcset=\"https:\/\/csanow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/UpdateOrchestra-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/csanow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/UpdateOrchestra-768x577.jpg 768w, https:\/\/csanow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/UpdateOrchestra-830x623.jpg 830w, https:\/\/csanow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/UpdateOrchestra-230x173.jpg 230w, https:\/\/csanow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/UpdateOrchestra-350x263.jpg 350w, https:\/\/csanow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/UpdateOrchestra-480x360.jpg 480w, https:\/\/csanow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/UpdateOrchestra.jpg 875w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 406px) 100vw, 406px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But here is a simple tweak that should stop the system from rebooting at all until you&#8217;re ready. Bare in mind however, a future Microsoft Update <em>MAY<\/em> revert this setting back on your computer without your knowledge. If it does, just reset it.<\/p>\n<p>Right click on your <strong><em>Start<\/em> <\/strong>button in the lower left of your computer screen. Select <strong><em>Control Panel<\/em><\/strong>. Then select <strong><em>Administrative Tools<\/em><\/strong>. Select <strong><em>Task Scheduler<\/em><\/strong> and then scroll to expand the navigation tree to find <strong><em>Microsoft<\/em><\/strong>&gt; <strong><em>Windows<\/em><\/strong>&gt; <strong><em>UpdateOrchestator<\/em><\/strong>.
